ROLE SUMMARY
Key accountabilities include day to day guidance of shop floor personnel, setting and executing the production schedule, coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries and ensuring all product is packed and shipped in a manner meeting safety and quality requirements,
The Logistics Vaccine Technician will perform the following:
* Operate, perform basic troubleshooting and train others on dry ice equipment including dry ice extruders and tote dumpers
* Preparing vaccine samples for shipment
* Perform transactions, review and filing of warehouse related documents including MFGRs, RIDs and SRDMs
* Perform vaccine Return Goods process
* Performing transactions in the inventory tracking systems
* Interacting with internal customers and enabling groups (e.g. Quality, EHS, etc)
* Performs inventory cycle counts and investigates discrepancies to assure inventory accuracy goals are met.
* Performing self-audits and inspections
* Participating on teams as required (e.g. Safety Team, process improvement teams, special projects)
* Complying with all Standard Operating Procedures, internal/external regulations, safety guidelines and GMPs.
* Monitor and order operating supplies as needed
* Work with multiple systems, including, but not limited to SAP, QTS, PDOCs, PLS, Ariba and EAMs. This includes work order initiation, data entry, trouble-shooting and investigations of discrepancies.
* Work closely with Operations, Quality and internal/external customers to ensure customer service requirements are met
* Generate and review weekly and monthly reports monitoring warehouse processes.
* Inspecting shipments prior to receipt
* Receiving materials into the inventory system
* Labeling materials as required
* Participation in internal, regulatory and customer audits.
* Revise SOPs, OJTs and other procedural and training documents
Qualifications
* High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus 3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or GMP facility (e.g. current or previous Pfizer colleague or contractor or similar)
* An Associate /Bachelors degree, OR
* Veteran/Military experience, OR
* SAP Experience required
* Warehouse/distribution experience preferred
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting may be required. Job will also entail occasional weekend, shutdown and holiday coverage. Job will require off-shift support.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
No travel expected
Potential to work a 7-2, 7-2, 7-3 work schedule. Over a four week period, works Mon-Sun (7 days), off Mon-Tues (2 days), works Wed-Tues (7 days), off Wed-Thurs (2 days), works Fri-Thurs (7 days), & off Fri-Sun (3 days). Weekend, holiday, and overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs. This operation will work 24x7x365.
