To fulfill this mission, the Corporate External and Legal Affairs Department (CELA) has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Content Management in the Public Affairs team based in Redmond, WA. This person will be responsible for sourcing, creating, and maintaining best-in-class content and messaging that is relevant to the company's societal impact campaigns, public policy agenda, and other signature initiatives.

This role is a key member of the Campaigns and Field Enablement (CAFE) team, which is part of the broader Public Affairs team. CAFE works across the department and the company to develop and execute policy-based campaigns strategically aligned to the Microsoft mission and business objectives. CAFE serves as a center for knowledge management, information sharing, capacity building, and campaign counsel for CELA's international government affairs field and commercial legal teams through the development and syndication of targeted content and marketing services, as well as appropriate professional development resources. By its nature, CAFE works in a highly matrixed, cross-functional, and collaborative environment, and this role will work with a variety of different internal stakeholders across a wide range of disciplines.

Content and Campaign Resourcing:

* Sourcing, creating, and curating best-in-class content and campaign resources from across the department and the company.
* Syndicating this content and campaign resources on CAFE's knowledge management tools and internal communications platforms.
* Partnering closely with the other campaign teams and communications leads to harmonize the sharing and syndicating content to field teams.

Tools and Platforms:

* Establishing CAFE's knowledge management tools and internal communication platforms to be the 'go-to' destination and 'trusted source' of campaign content and resources.
* Developing and managing feedback loops and review processes to ensure that content and campaign resources have high relevance, discoverability, and utility.
* Innovating processes to ensure faster content updates and refresh.

Continuous Improvement:

* Improving the sourcing and content development processes to identify the most relevant content for field teams.
* Pioneering new ways to present content and increase utility through constant trial and innovation.
* Develop and implement success metrics and reporting systems to determine impact.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Integrated Communications:

* Understand the strategic relationship between internal and external distribution channels and how they and can turn campaign content into advocacy assets.
* Be responsive to the needs and feedback from internal business partners and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Content Development:

* A proven expertise in managing and supporting commercial, policy, or societal impact campaigns.
* Have exceptional writing skills to create new content, customize existing content from other subject matter experts, and distill complicated legal or policy-related content into its clearest, simplest form.

Cross-team collaboration:

* Dedicated to collective success with the ability to promote cooperation and problem solve in a timely, creative, and professional manner.
* Be highly operational and process-driven to manage a broad portfolio of contributing stakeholders, short deadlines, and important deliverables.
* 7+ years of professional experience in corporate public affairs, integrated marketing, communications, journalism, and/or public policy.
* Proven experience in project management, negotiating, and group facilitation skills.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convert complex issues into more simplified content and messaging.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

* Self-directed and ability to work in a cross-group and highly matrixed organization.
* Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field is preferred.
