Job Description: The Sr. Manager, Program Management is responsible for a collection of L3Harris Fuzing and Electronics Systems programs. He/she will assist Program Management staff in assuring readiness for program award and execution and ensure positive program performance. Provides leadership and management guidelines for all assigned team members. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
L3Harris Fuzing and Electronics Systems is seeking talented a Sr. Manager to join its team, leading, managing, and assisting the program management team. This team delivers solutions that solve government and commercial customers' mission-critical challenges. This role is located in Batavia, Ohio.
Essential Functions:
* Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, technical, and contractual performance requirements of a collection of complex technical programs through the life-cycle phases of development, transition to production and production. This includes utilizing Earned Value Management, maintaining integrated master schedules, managing development and test to a technical baseline, and maintains an active and proactive risk management program. Responsible for budget management and financial execution of the assigned programs.
* Responsible for managing a collaborative work environment with the customer to achieve business objectives.
* Works with customers and internal program leadership to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities, and then directs the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications to meet those needs.
* Work with functional leadership to ensure that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production and facilities are available to support the programs assigned.
* Solves highly complex problems with significant business impact.
* Interacts internally with management and customers on significant business matters.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience in Program/Project management. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in Program/Project management.
* Demonstrated experience effectively managing risk and opportunities with projects or programs, including cost, quality and schedule.
* Must be able to obtain Secret clearance within the first six months of employment.
* 10+ years of program management experience including all phases of program execution (pursuit and offer leadership, contractual negotiations, start-up, execution, and close-out)
* Demonstrated capability to lead teams in successfully achieving defined Customer and Company program objectives within cost, schedule, and contractual constraints.
* Experienced in organizing and leading Engineering, contractual, financial, Operations, and other cross functional areas to provide total Program life-cycle management.
* Demonstrated experience with the implementation and execution using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and employment of applicable metrics.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion.
* Experienced managing DoD programs.
* Collaboration with other Program Managers, Business Development Managers, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering functions.
* Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, even when having no direct authority over them.
* PMP Certification or equivalent desirable.
