GDIT is seeking a Director of Business Development for State & Local Government Programs. You will lead the identification, qualification and pursuit of new business opportunities for State Agencies (including, but not limited to Transportation, Attorney General, State IT Department/CIO, Department of Health, Family and Protective, etc.) These opportunities will be across multiple disciplines such as Applications Development/Modernization, Business Process, Cloud, etc. You will leverage your knowledge to develop customer and partner relationships, provide thought leadership in the marketplace and lead the development and execution of GDIT go-to-market account plans.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
* Developing and maintaining high quality relationships with customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors.
* Ability to shape opportunities and position throughout the opportunity life-cycle
* Experience within the healthcare industry.
* Formulating or supporting the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture and proposal strategy that clearly highlights the company's value proposition and discriminators, and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for award selection.
* Establishing value added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures
* Developing marketing strategies and providing input into market account plans with assigned account BD and P&L leaders that align with the company's strategic plan.
* Public Sector procurement.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related discipline.
* 10+ years of hands-on experience in State Sales/Business Development.
* Understanding of the political structure of State Government and its impact on Agencies.
* Extensive background developing business focused on IT Services, Lifecycle SW development, cloud solutions, and Health IT focused program support offerings
* Experience with State budget, investments and acquisition processes.
* Ability to think critically, solve problems, and be a strong team player who fosters collaboration.
* Relevant relationships within the industry
* US Citizenship
The likely salary range for this position is $140,000 - $210,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
