Overview

Burlington is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with a focus in Network Security to join our Information Security team. In this position you will work alongside the SecOps, Network, Infrastructure, and Applications team to secure our environments on prem and in the cloud.

We are looking for a candidate with firewall management experience including Palo Alto, Fortinet, VMware NSX, and Azure. Responsibilities include managing the operation, configuration, implementation and migration of security tools and being a resource to assist the Security Operations team. Experience securing Azure environments is a strong plus.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Consult and support business partners with design and implementation of secure systems.

* Identify, design, and implement improvements to current programs/procedures and security solutions.

* Mature firewall rulesets and threat protection and assist in audits of current rulesets

* Lead network segmentation initiatives

* Support transitions to next generation networks with cloud and SDWAN

* Assist with network design and documentation

* Secure web apps with Web Application Firewalls

* Support cloud initiatives as the team lead

Additional Experience, Skills and Abilities:

* 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT

* 3+ years of designing and implementing new systems

* Experience managing complex and high impact projects

* Expert level troubleshooting networks, operating systems, web applications.

* Ambition to recognize and address challenges and provide innovative solutions.

* Ability to think strategically and effectively convey complex ideas to executives.

* Ability to mentor other members of the team.
