SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
1. Safely transports patients to assigned areas, maintaining patient privacy and dignity, according to
HIPPA regulations.
2. Cleans transport equipment daily and ensures equipment is placed in designated areas. Follows
the schedule for the replacement of empty oxygen tanks.
3. Participates in PI processes.
4. Maintains integrity of hospital environment. Follows hospital Safety and Universal Precaution
policy and procedures.
5. Communicates effectively with patients, families, peers, supervisors, and departments served.
6. Maintains professional appearance and demeanor on a daily basis.

Preferred - Prior experience as transporter.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
Required - BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA
