The IWS Well Engineer provides technical input to the well construction, completions, well intervention and abandonment phases, from the concept and tendering stage through project commencement, execution and project close out. During tendering phases, the engineer will also be providing technical input to the commercial and procurement teams. During planning and execution stages, the engineer interfaces with stakeholders to ensure safety, well integrity and cost effective job execution. The Well Engineer ensures that the well design and well program is prepared and detailed procedures are provided to the execution team and is a key contributor during project execution providing follow up, technical input, operational optimization recommendations and implementation and troubleshooting support.

As the Sr. Well Engineer, you will take ownership of planning and designing wells for our customers in both commercial and execution phases. Collaborating closely with our service delivery teams you will generate integrated solutions to improve well delivery time and operational performance. Working with real-time data, you'll ensure efficiency and deliver results for our customers.

As an IWS Senior Well Engineer, you will be responsible for:

* Ensure all engineering activities are in line with HSE policies and procedures, and drive HSE culture by setting example through safe work practices.
* Participate in tender bid preparation process for well engineering input.
* Prepare well design, well plan and operational procedures for construction, completion, intervention and/or abandonment of wells in area of responsibility.
* Define technical rig requirements and technical services and third party requirements.
* Prepare operational time and well cost estimates.
* In collaboration with internal and external parties, prepare risk register and contingency plans.

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
* 8+ years of relevant work experience in well construction, completions, intervention and/or optimization. Competences should include drill bits/mills, BHA design, engineering simulations, field operations, preparation of programs, or similar.
* Experience working in at least two relevant applications: conventional rotary drilling, horizontal and/or multilateral wells, pad drilling, unconventional, coiled tubing drilling, underbalance or managed pressure drilling.
* Well control knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues across all businesses/cultures, achieve objectives through effective influencing, and establish credibility with senior leaders.
* Excellent analytics and problem-solving, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information.
* Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and simple messages.
* MS office suite, power BI or other analytical tools, well engineering and design software (for example: hydraulics, torque and drag, casing/tubing design)

Desired Characteristics:

* MS in Petroleum/Oil & Gas or Well Engineering.
* Previous relevant experience working in integrated projects or for an operator.
* Exposure to specific applications: Offshore operations (shallow and deep water), subsea and surface wellheads.
* Record of accomplishment of continuous improvement and optimization of designs and operations.
* Geo-mechanics knowledge
* Experience with well intervention and workover engineering and operations.
