Lyft is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be critical in building a world class accounting organization to support our growth. Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analyses in accordance with close calendar timelines, specifically in the areas of Sales & Marketing (S&M) and Operations & Support (O&S), which includes brand, paid acquisitions, partnerships, customer support, and field operations.
Prepare and review journal entries, while implementing more scalable processes, around corporate allocations, including employee and office related charges
Assist in preparing necessary support and schedule related to software capitalization or internal-use software
Assist in documentation/implementation of internal controls and ensure SOX compliance within the GL Accounting team
Partner with FP&A for month end accruals, prepaid expenses and adjustments 
Coordinate with AP, business partners and other external parties as needed to ensure balances are properly recorded
Assist in support of external audit, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing support
Assist in developing and implementing scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
Coordinate with cross-functional partners to facilitate streamlined processes and related accounting transactions 
Actively participate and collaborate on system implementations, as needed
Perform special, ad-hoc projects, as needed

Experience:

4-year degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA preferred
4+ years in Accounting, including Big 4 and larger multinational organizations experience 
Excellent organizational and communication skills a must
Experience in SOX compliance and business improvement
Problem solving skills required
Must be detail oriented and able to multitask 
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications; Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, FloQast, and Coupa are strongly preferred
Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
