Zions is looking for an Application Reliability Analyst to join the Technology Reliability Engineering and Operations (TREO) Application Reliability Center (ARC) team. This team is focused on maximizing the availability and reliability of the critical business applications and information technology components across the enterprise. The ARC Analyst provides live monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution for the technology infrastructure domains and critical business applications across the enterprise. This includes analyzing and responding to dashboards and alerts for a wide range of technical components and business applications. The ARC Analyst will partner with the TREO domain engineers and business application subject matter experts to create and tune system generated alerts, provide triage and troubleshooting for events and facilitate response and escalation activities for timely resolution. This position will also monitor for technology device adherence to configuration and security standards and provide remediation for variances. The ARC Analyst will also provide lifecycle management support for TREO domains regarding infrastructure hardware and software patching of devices. This position supports our 24x7 technology operations and may require coverage for overnight shifts. We are headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT but are open to remote work.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring reliable 24 x 7 operations of the technology infrastructure and critical business applications across various technology domains and application frameworks.
* Using system management tools to review, monitor, analyze and troubleshoot the operation of technology domains including network, server, database, middleware, and application components.
* Facilitating resolution of technology events and communicating with infrastructure and application owners, Incident Management and other key stakeholders.
* Creating and maintaining daily and weekly reports and documentation to ensure standards compliance and the stable, efficient operation of enterprise technology infrastructure.
* Partnering with key stakeholders to establish and refine system alerts and domain runbooks for timely identification and resolution of system anomalies.
* Driving to true root cause for system events and identification of corrective and preventative actions that will result in improved availability and reliability.
* Relentless improvement of the enterprise technology infrastructure and application components.
* Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field and 1+ years of experience supporting technology infrastructure in a large multi-site environment. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
* Hands on experience with technology monitoring components and tools.
* Good communication skills and ability to facilitate event coordination across multiple domains.
* Troubleshooting skills for technology infrastructure issues including networking, server and information security components.
* Experience in service ticketing systems and change control processes.
* Experience with scripting languages and a familiarity with Unix/Linux system administration preferred.
* Ability to measure and monitor performance metrics and demonstrate continuous improvement.
* Ability to meet deadlines and schedules.
* Ability to perform level 2 tasks including, but not limited to, network device configuration and maintenance, VLAN set-up, firewall rule creation, etc.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $74,000
