Department Overview Ophthalmology Clinical Development
We are responsible for designing and executing phase 1-3 trials for eye care disorders including presbyopia, glaucoma, AMD, and dry eye.
Assignment Details
This should be a health sciences student, ideally a PharmD or PhD student, interested in learning more about a career in pharma/ophthalmology R&D.;
Responsibilities will include:
* Answering focused questions critical to clinical trial startup through literature reviews
* Various disease state presentations
* Assisting the operations team with study startup activities, such as site identification, potential investigators, contracting, and timeline generation
* Support of ongoing clinical trials
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - External
* Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship and returning to university for at least one semester post internship
* Must be enrolled in a Masters, PharmD or PhD program with a major in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Data Analytics, Health Administration, Pre-Medicine, Statistics or other related field
* Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience working on a research environment
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
