Job Title: Painter Maintenance

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Painter Maintenance position in Ft. Bliss, TX. The Painter repairs and maintains all structural related walls, trims and moldings within the WBAMC hospital, Central Utilities Plant (CUP), and other outlying buildings related to this contract. This position requires a strong aptitude in painting, drywall repairs and various coatings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Repair and install suspended ceiling systems. Replace ceiling tiles as needed.
* Assist in the construction drywall partitions.
* Patch, finish, and paint drywall partitions.
* Clean and paint sidewalk and road curbing.
* Clean and apply material coatings such as stains, varnishes, epoxy and expansion joint repairs.
* Replace and install vinyl base molding.
* Replace and install flooring material.
* Perform inspections as required by Total Joint Commission (TJC).
* Assist other craft technicians as needed.
* Be able to read and understand architectural and mechanical drawings.
* Be able to read and understand manufacturer's submittals and literature.
* Be able to specify and order paint material and painting tools.
* Coordinate inspections, repairs, and painting with staff in affected areas to minimize disruption of hospital and clinical operations. This may include working different shifts to meet hospital or clinic patient scheduling requirements.
* Ensures compliance with department safety and quality standards to optimize effective utilization of resources and productivity.
* Be able to understand and implement control policies and procedures and Hazardous Waste procedures
* Follow and implement Lock Out Tag Out procedures as required
* Complete Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance (PM) paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
* Attends weekly Tool Box safety meetings.
* Obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health Certification.

* Must be able to pass and maintain the appropriate client background investigation.
* Must complete an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health training class (supplied by EMCOR)
* Must possess a valid driver's license.

The employee must receive medical shots as required by the Ft. Bliss Army Medical Center. The annual flu and annual TB testing are mandatory, but additional shots maybe required as related to the employee's position.
