Are you looking for a growth opportunity where you can contribute to a very important mission? Come and be part of our team in the dynamic world of Lockheed Martin Space. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to work at our Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA.

Perform a variety of manufacturing & assembly tasks including: welding, mechanical assembly, instrumentation, application of coatings, adhesive bonding, etc., in a development / prototyping environment. Work closely with design engineers & product support engineers to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, tools & shop aids. Verify critical features of tools & hardware using precision optical instruments (lasers) and other precision measuring equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 1 Year of experience.
- Basic capability of understanding & reading engineering drawings.
- Machining experience.
- Mechanical assembly aptitude, and general measurement aptitude (calipers and micrometers).
- General/Basic computer skills for data entry.
