Job Description

Ingredion is hiring a Maintenance Lead. In this role the individual will be responsible for supporting critical aspects of maintenance department to ensure the continuous and ongoing operations of the plant. This position requires strong overall knowledge of the plant and excellent troubleshooting skills. The role works in conjunction with Operations and Planned Maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective operation of equipment through service oriented supervision of the hourly maintenance staff.

As a Maintenance Lead, your responsibilities will include:

* Taking responsibility for the safe completion of all work completed under direct supervision and conduct routine safety walks and inspections of the site
* Taking ownership for the equipment in the plant to ensure continuous and reliable operation, respond to all unplanned maintenance needs, and provide technical expertise to solve plant issues. Complete reactive work orders for all work, and follow up with the appropriate Planned Maintenance supervisor to schedule appropriate follow-up
* Maintain cost control by minimizing overtime required to complete work and ensuring work is completed right the first time to minimize repeat work
* Participate in the Predictive Maintenance and Maintenance Planning processes to ensure minimal mechanical down time on equipment and effective operation of CMMS system
* Being available 24-Hours/7-Days a week to offer expertise and support of other maintenance supervisors and be available and capable to cover maintenance vacations
* Improving execution of Planned Maintenance by developing / revising standard procedures and guidelines for repair and refurbishment tasks



The Maintenance Lead position is well-suited for you if you:

* Schedule staffing or maintenance personnel to optimize service and minimize costs and handle overtime for work completion
* Conduct monthly department and weekly Safety Tool Box meetings
* Monitor the hourly employees to ensure proper completion of work orders and conduct random documented audits on completed work; and oversee disciplines with Maintenance Management for violations of plant policies and/or poor job performance

Qualified candidates will have:

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology preferred or related experience
* 3 plus years experience in supervision preferred
* Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Multi-tasking and time management skills
