The Global Machinery & Equipment Procurement Team is seeking a Procurement Manager to provide sourcing expertise for capital projects in GNW (global nonwovens) and sustainability equipment. Strong project management, LEAN systems and relationship management skills are highly valued. We use innovative thinking and analysis to deliver results to the businesses we support.

The primary responsibilities for the role include purchasing materials, equipment and services to meet the business/project needs as well as managing relationships with key suppliers and internal customers. A structured strategic sourcing process is used to manage the entire contract life cycle from Request for Proposal to supplier exit and training is provided on a regular basis.
Utilizing This Structured Strategic Sourcing Process You Will

* Work with internal customers to develop sourcing strategies for equipment and services which will best meet business needs at the lowest total cost of ownership.

* Identify, evaluate and select suppliers that meet or exceed internal customer needs.

* Solicit, evaluate, negotiate and award contracts for specific purchases (technical and/or commercial aspects) as well as administer contracts as required for regional and global capital projects.

* Negotiate and implement, in conjunction with technical leaders and corporate attorneys, joint development agreements with strategic suppliers for regional and global capital projects.

* Analyze supply base, reduce risk, and optimize total cost to maximize value for Kimberly-Clark.

* Lead or co-lead initiatives to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain including planning, managing and implementing major projects in a repeatable process to realize results.

Minimum/Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or a related discipline.

* Work experience in an engineering, procurement, project management, operations or similar role (including mill and/or staff experiences).

* Experience in leading by influence.

* Multilingual skills a plus.

* Global travel 10-20% of the time.

* Global Nonwovens experience preferred.
