Exciting opportunity to join our team as an IT Systems Analyst in a fast paced and challenging environment providing end to end operations and support of a complex financial system to a broad spectrum of clients.

As part of our Optum Technology team this role will play a significant part in operating and supporting the Manufacturer Discount Management product for OptumRx which is called RxMax. It runs on an IBMi platform with a DB2 database. This is an operations and support position that requires strong SQL skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This role will interact with delivery teams, technical teams and business teams. RxMax is a complex financial system with a large underlying complex database. This is not a development position.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Analytical Expertise
* Obtain a strong understanding of the application data model
* Analyze operational data to determine trends and issues
* Application Expertise
* Obtain a strong understanding of the application
* Create complex adhoc SQL queries for data requested by users
* Research, resolve and respond to application questions and issues
* Audit operational and user setup data
* Technical/Operational Expertise
* Research, resolve and respond to technical questions and issues
* Monitor system usage and performance
* Submit and monitor process jobs
* Manage hardware requests/upgrades/maintenance/system switches/application installations

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in IT
* 5+ years of Relational Database experience using SQL
* 5+ years of demonstrated experience pulling data with large volumes (billions of rows / hundreds of tables)
* Proficiency with MS Excel
* Must be available to work extra hours from time to time to meet business needs

* Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) required
* Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment, under the pressure of strict time constraints and with constantly changing priorities
* Highly motivated individual that can work independently and as part of a team
* Self-motivated, strng initiative, flexible and superior time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail and quality
* IBM experience would be beneficial
* Experience working with financial systems would be beneficial

* Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600 (add additional reference for sales and physicians).
