Primary Responsibilities

* Reviews and analyzes on-going customer requirements for enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance requests for information systems.
* Functions as a primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting database applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Participates in multiple concurrent projects.
* Analyzes charts and/or diagrams of solutions to be developed and defines system requirements in terms of equipment capabilities.
* Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.
* Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.
* Develops complete descriptions of all specifications and solutions required.
* Develops common operations, which can be reused.
* Participates in certain aspects of user consulting, systems analysis, general systems design, vendor contracts and detail systems design.
* Learns user functions, organization and role in the enterprise to the extent required.
* Develops or assists in the development of work plans, task sequencing, and runs test cases to evaluate the extent of how tasks may be performed concurrently.
* Performs all other related duties as assigned.
* Performs necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine project feasibility.
* Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as Database Management, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or Data Science required. (4+ years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree).
* 1+ years of experience writing moderately complex to highly complex SQL queries
* 1+ years of experience with relational database areas such as analysis/design, ETL, data warehousing, or business intelligence.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking experience/ability
* Familiarity with multiple system development lifecycles (SDLC's).
* Ability to effectively work with both internal and external clients.
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience developing applications on either the Quick Base or Salesforce platforms
* Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
* Agile development experience with frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
* Test script development and testing execution.
* ETL experience including SSIS packages and stored procedures.
* Experience implementing and supporting third party applications.
* Experience with major systems implementations.
* Experience developing automated reports utilizing various data sources.
