The Senior Pricing Director with OptumRx will lead the underwriting initiatives to ensure that cases are appropriately assessed from a risk perspective and are appropriately priced for risk level. This role oversees all the direct health plan underwriting responsibilities, and drives RFP strategy. This individual will provide guidance on evolving new strategies in Underwriting and develop a team to support the deliverables. This individual will be accountable for overseeing the production of the rating and underwriting services for new business and/or existing accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Manage, train, and develop a competent and motivated staff of underwriters and pricing analysts
* Monitor performance and provide overall guidance
* Participate with senior management in the development and implementation of policies, marketing, and business strategy
* External facing, working directly with prospective and current clients

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
* 10+ years of experience in finance in the healthcare industry
* 5+ years of management experience
* Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (ability to create pivot tables and other advanced functions in Excel is preferred)
* Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to translate big picture ideas into client objectives
* Must have Proven negotiation and persuasion skills
* Ability to travel nationally about 10%

* Superior oral and written communication skills
* PBM acumen/experience
* Underwriting for any variety of products (PPO, HMO, self-funded, ASO/fully-insured, group, or individual)

The salary range for Colorado residents is $110,200 to $211,700.
