SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the preparation of annual monthly and weekly plant production financial statements and reports. This includes completing weekly cost reports and analysis for plant operations, budgeting and forecasting. Other duties include staffing and supervising accounting and management support employees supervising payroll for employees and ensuring generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls are adhered to as well as Tyson accounting policies which may involve in-house auditing of books and inventories. As a member of the plant management team, the Plant Controller will direct all financial activities and advise the Plant Manager and the Operations Team in meeting or exceeding the overall financial and strategic objectives of the Company. The Plant Controller will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall plant performance and KPIs. Critical outcomes include supporting the executive team with key financial information and operational analytics, driving a culture of accountability in managing the business and adding value to operating business.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the job. Finance Accounting degree major preferred.
Experience: A seasoned and mature leader with 6 plus years of broad finance experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills including spreadsheets queries and word processing as well as preparing ad-hoc reports and presentations.
Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.
Travel: 1 to 5 domestic trips per year.
