Job Description

This position could work in any department of the Processing, Harvest, Warehouse, and Rendering, Yards, or groundskeeping departments. This position must be willing to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds and standing 10-12 hours a day. Work around meat environment such as blood, fat, bones, hair, and any other cattle product. This position will be required to work in inclement environment; hot, cold, humid, icy, dusty, etc. with temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 100 degrees.

Mechanic positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. The position requires performing work involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and conveyor maintenance. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day- to-day operation of the facility. Mechanics will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required. Must have basic computer skills, good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safely.

The Team Member must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned.

Must have six months of any mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, or conveyor maintenance work experience. Must be available to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and available for overtime. Only candidates from the following counties will be considered Franklin, Benton, Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant, Adams and Umatilla.
