Job Description

SUMMARY: Responsibilities will vary from performing one procedure or work instruction to a number of analytical, microbiological, or quality system procedures or work instructions in a Food Safety Laboratory. Precision and accuracy in performance of the work instructions and data collection is essential; must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be passing and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter. Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and growth after training; other duties as assigned.

Days/Hours for this position will be Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm

Requirements and or Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer college level courses or degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, and or Physical Sciences Experience and or Expertise: Prefer laboratory experience.

Difficulty of Duties: Work activities are well defined with clearly stated directions or guidelines. Most work steps are clearly prescribed and cannot be modified. Most work duties require repetitive operations.

Computer Skills: General knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Applications

Training Programs: The training needs for this job classification have been assessed by the appropriate management team member and are listed in the LIMS Training Manager. The amount and level of training required are dependent on the level of responsibility authorized to team members assigned with this job classification. Aside from the minimum required training, training programs may vary from team member to team member.

Managerial Duties: No management duties are associated with this job classification unless specifically authorized by the appropriate management team member responsible for team members assigned with this job classification.

This position does not offer reimbursement for interview expenses and/or relocation assistance.
