The Physical Sciences & Systems group in Newport, RI is seeking a summer intern to assist in the investigation and development of new maritime platform capabilities. Tasks may include developing or extending existing models; collecting and analyzing field test data; and researching and modeling concept designs.
What will you need?
* Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or other related engineering fields.
Additional Skills that would be AWESOME
* Experience developing time domain simulations of mechanical systems
* Experience using fluid dynamics solvers (RANS or potential flow methods)
* Finite element modeling experience
* CAD experience with SolidWorks, Rhino, or other comparable environment
