Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems division has a leadership opening for Systems Security Engineering (SSE) Chief Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position would be located in Roy, UT and responsible for all aspects of engineering on the across the Program Protection, Cyber Security, and Anti-Tamper activities across the weapons system. As a member of the SSE Sub-Integrated Product Team (Sub-IPT), the selected candidate will apply advanced technical principles and concepts relative to systems engineering, Program Protection, Cyber Security, and Anti-Tamper.

What you will get to do:

This leadership role will be responsible to work across a multi-disciplined engineering team managing the technical performance of the GBSD program while ensuring the GBSD technical team is adhering to sound engineering processes and meeting cost and schedule requirements including subcontracted elements. This role also maintains cognizance and horizontal technical integration across IPT's and supports the responsibilities of the Chief Engineers office.

As the SSE Chief Engineer (T06), the selected candidate is expected to work collaboratively with influence to gain commitment and performance across all IPTs including the program office and customers. The individual will coordinate requirements development, hardware/software design, verification, and validation activities while also shaping the future opportunities and developing strategies that strive to bring the best value to the program. The individual is responsible to review and approve all SSE technical related customer deliverables to ensure technical quality and integrity of data, maintaining the integrity of the overall SSE technical baseline, and interface w/ both internal and external customers.

These positions will have a standard work schedule of 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

* Active final Top Secret Clearance
* Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) along with at least 20 years aerospace engineering and leadership experience.
* 3 years of experience overseeing a team and technical customer deliverables.
* 5 years of experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle and supporting tools, i.e. development, verification, and management of requirements along with the documentation of analysis architecture in their respective tools (DOORS and CAMEO)
* Acquire and maintain DOD Instruction 8570 IASAE Level 1 certification within 6 months of hire (e.g. CASP+ CE, or CISSP, or CISSP Associate, or CSSLP)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) along with at least 18 years aerospace engineering and leadership experience.
* Managing technical baseline of a system (reviewing and approving change requirement packages, leading or support Technical Review Boards/Change Control Boards)
* Experience in EVMS (Earned Value Management System) management.
* Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations, Offensive Cyber Operations, and Cyber Certifications (RMF, JSIG, CyberSafe) on Weapons Systems
* Experience managing product development as part of the Anti-Tamper Lifecycle and engagement with relevant approval authorities (ATEA and AT Warrant Holder)
* Experience implementing Technology And Program Protection To Maintain Technological Advantage (DOD Instruction 5000.83)
* Experience guiding technologies and processes development for integration into a final product
* Experience in leadership skills to plan, estimate, organize, and integrate IPT activities across multiple engineering disciplines, along with the ability to effectively motivate people to work as an integrated team across locations, companies and cultures.
* Broad technical experience, across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle to include Risk and Opportunity Management
* In-depth technical expertise in Systems of Systems requirements management, architecture design, interface control and verification; trade studies and analysis of alternatives; development of end to end solutions.
