The HALE Programs Production Test IPT has an opening in Palmdale, CA for an Air Vehicle Manager 2 (AVM) for Global Hawk Japan (JG). This is a new position designed to meet an ever increasing demand and need for focus and prioritization on the various HALE platforms. The AVM is responsible for ensuring the 3 Japan Global Hawk aircraft are expeditiously built and tested, supporting the customer rsquo;s delivery dates safely with the highest of quality.

The GH JG AVM will oversee all aspects contributing to aircraft progress to include but are not limited to, parts need dates and authorization to categorize parts as Critical 1, working with design engineering to expedite changes for any anomalies discovered during testing, communicating and coordinating test progress, challenges and needs. Schedule revisions will be reviewed and approved by the AVM before vetting outside of Operations or SIT amp;E, depending on what phase of production the aircraft is in.

The candidate must have excellent communication and critical thinking skills, understand the company rsquo;s production operations and test flow, and be capable of working in a matrix environment with multiple sources of management guidance. Candidates must be able to support extended shifts, weekends and holidays. Because all three air vehicles are already in production with two of them in production test, the candidate must be familiar with the Global Hawk air vehicle and its constituent systems.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* 10 or more years of experience in aerospace with BS degree in STEM.
* Active in scope DoD secret clearance.
* Experience in managing aircraft from Industrial Engineering through project management.
* Extensive knowledge of the Global Hawk air vehicle and constituent systems.
* Must be able to support all shifts; including extended shifts, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering.
* Program Management experience with a complex system of systems.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
