Consultant, Vendor Management

Location: Must be in Louisville, KY area

Our Vendor Management team within Dell Technologies Service Parts is responsible for managing the ongoing relationship with external vendors that support whole unit repair services and all related functions and requirements. Team member is responsible for measuring actual vendor service level performance versus contractual levels while establishing continuous improvement processes whereby performance translates directly into corrective action plans and resulting improvements. Team member is also responsible for all financial readiness, programs and initiatives in support of increased performance and cost reduction initiatives.

What youll achieve
As a vendor manager, team member is responsible for all aspects of Dell-partner relationship to ensure a high performing organization that delivers first class repair services to Dell customers. This position requires a multi-talented individual that can expertly influence decision making at the highest level of vendor management structure to delivery process improvement and cost savings initiatives. Team member will also lead cross-functional development with sustaining teams to include quality, engineering, technical support, parts planning and backlog management organizations. Resource requires data mining and analytic skills to provide Dell executive level leadership with key operational metrics that clearly identify operational gaps and areas of improvement to ultimately drive a first class experience for Dell customers.

You will:

* Establish and maintain a strong communication channel with vendor organizations to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and strengthen customer service.

* Ensure vendors deliver on key metrics such as timeliness, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

* Drive on-going process improvements to deliver increased operational efficiency in all vendor processes.

* Compile, analyze and report on vendor performance trends.

* Develop process for continuous improvement of SLA reporting with vendors.

* Responsible for tracking of escalated issues and reporting of root cause analysis.

* Provide executive level briefs that communicate all performance levels, vendor capacity, outlooks, backlog management and projects and initiatives.

Essential Requirements

* 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 8+ years with a Masters degree

* Experience in Supply Management Operations with emphasis in Vendor Management Operations

* Leadership and executive level engagement experience a must

* High level relationship management, negotiation and collaboration skills

* Expert presentation design and communication skills

Desirable Requirements

* Data science and analytics skills highly desired

* Data analytics skills desired to include, Power BI and advanced Excel data design and management.
