Product Marketing Director, Ecosystem

Job Description

Facebook seeks a leader who is passionate about helping Facebook partner with the industry on critical issues like privacy, brand safety and measurement. The Ecosystem Product Marketing Director will support numerous external engagement efforts to set standards and definitions within the ads industry and work with internal teams to develop Facebooks point of view on important ecosystem topics. The ideal candidate will have experience closely partnering with product, policy and sales leaders on developing broad strategies across technical tools and policy requirements, and will be responsible for leading a team of product marketers that influence product development and lead industry engagement strategy.
This leader will need to be an experienced, hands-on operational manager who is able to execute against business objectives while growing and developing individuals. Relevant experience with ads optimization, ads measurement, customer data, and the consumer and regulatory ad technology landscape would be helpful in this role. This person must be flexible, a cross-functional team player comfortable with a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment and exhibit excellent communication skills. This is a full-time position.

Product Marketing Director, Ecosystem Responsibilities

* Inform external engagement and product strategy in partnership with product, policy and sales teams across multiple areas

* Lead, manage, mentor and grow a high-performing team of individual contributors

* Identify long-term engagement opportunities based on external feedback, analysis and a strategic view of the direction of the market both for businesses and consumers

* Drive multi-year product strategies at the portfolio level and influence product development across ideation and launch, working with Product, Engineering, Marketing Communications, and other cross-functional partners

* Drive alignment across product and business teams and across platforms (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram) for major cross-family and Facebook, Inc. level priorities

* Partner with cross-functional team leaders to develop external engagement plans to influence specific ecosystem topics and lead global industry engagement strategy

* Inspire action through data-driven insights (market assessments, competitive benchmarking) and drive your teams to execute with operational rigor and efficiency

* Manage high-priority, fast moving decisions and communications regarding product and policy changes

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS degree

* 12+ years professional experience in technology, advertising, digital marketing industry or in management consulting working with these verticals

* Product marketing or Product Management experience in the web technology sector, with demonstrated experience contributing at strategic, operational and tactical levels

* Experience presenting to large groups/C-level executives

* Proven record of mentoring and leading a diverse team

* Track record of influencing behavior at variety of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders

* Demonstrated experience driving resolution in the context of competing perspectives and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

* Project Management skills, experience leading matrixed organizations and functions towards common goals with operational rigor and enthusiasm

* Experience illustrating high-accountability in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace

* Experience engaging with trade organizations and industry groups

* MBA degree
