Are you an experienced and innovative Engineer looking to become the primary contact for facility integrity technical issues? Do you value safety and enjoy building relationships with employees of all levels? If so, this opportunity is for you! This position will implement the Facility Integrity Management Program and serve as mechanical integrity SME for static equipment to help ensure safe and reliable operation of the GTM assets.

Heres what you will do:

* GTM Subject Matter Expert for the mechanical integrity of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, tanks, fired equipment, pressure relief valves (static equipment), un-piggable buried pipe sections, and offshore platform structures.

* Utilize and help maintain the Facility Integrity Management Plan as needed to incorporate learnings and best practices.

* Utilize and help maintain the Facility Integrity Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

* Review inspection reports and make recommendations for remediation and /or future inspection activities.

* Perform suitability for service evaluations of static equipment based on design parameters and equipment condition.

* Review equipment specs and process conditions to help determine potential damage mechanisms for static equipment.

* Innovation

* Assists with the implementation of innovative inspection practices and techniques to ensure inspections are done efficiently and adequately.

Who you are:

* You have:

* A Bachelors degree in Engineering.

* 7+ years relevant work experience in the Pipeline, Oil and Gas, and Petrochemical Industries. This should include at least 5 years of field experience with facilities such as refineries, petrochemical plants, compressor stations, offshore platforms or other types of facilities with static equipment.

* Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API 510, API 570, API RP 572, API RP 574, API RP 576, API 579-1, API Std. 650, API 653, API Spec 12 series, NACE MR-01-075, SPCC, etc.

* Knowledge of PHMSA, OSHA PSM, and BSEE.

* Good working knowledge of Office Suite. Ability to develop spreadsheets.

* Strong analytical and communication skills, able to successfully lead colleagues through difficult issues.

* Ability to work in an independent environment under the scrutiny and pressure of regulatory agencies.

* Ability to work within a diverse makeup of facility personnel, Engineers, Managers, EH&S professionals, and contract personnel.

* The following are considered assets:

* 10+ years relevant work experience in the Pipeline, Oil and Gas, and Petrochemical Industries.

* BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Working Conditions:

* Approximately 80% Office Environment and 20% in a Regional office or Regional facility in all types of weather.

* Must be able to remain calm and focused during emergency situations.

* May be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

* Will work with high pressure piping.

* May work in excavations.

* The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

* The noise level in the work environment may be above 90 dBA.

* Works to meet concrete regulatory deadlines under facility operating authorizations.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have an impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
