Education:

* ASN required
* BSN preferred

Licensure:

* Registered Nurse License Required
* CPR Certification within 3 months of hire

Experience:

* Experience in a physician office RN role preferred.

General Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care, evaluates interventions and consults with provider as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Perform triage of patients per protocols established by the physician and/or organization.
* Prepare patient for provider and assist provider with patient examination, procedures and other processes. Provide patient education or coordinates the provision of patient educational activities.
* Collect patient health information which is communicated by written and verbally to appropriate health professionals in order to identify actual and potential problems. Arrange consults, tests and procedures and verify orders for patients.
* Demonstrate an ability of safe medication and treatment administration. Correctly identify patients accepting responsibility for individual actions including activities that may be considered fraudulent, illegal or inappropriate.
* Adhere to organizations laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed. Oversees the training and performance of clinical staff in consultation with the Clinic Manager.
* Deliver care in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory, and ethical manner which preserves and protects the patient autonomy, confidentiality, dignity and rights.
