The Azure SAP Engineering team is hiring a Principal Program Manager with a deep knowledge of Design, Deployment, and Operation of SAP on Azure environments. This role will focus on engaging with customers and advancing the state of the art in how we help them through Mission Critical events. Enterprises around the world choose Microsoft and Azure to run their most mission critical workloads including SAP-centric workloads. In addition to fulfilling the promise we make to safeguard their businesses, you will contribute to the specification and evolution of quality and design practices for SAP landscapes on Azure, ensuring that customers start their journey to cloud on the best footing. 
  * Own, implement, and continuously improve our Mission Critical Customer Response procedures 
  * Help drive the QA design process for Mission Critical SAP implementations 
  * Provide SAP expertise on system configuration troubleshooting. 
  * Coordinate cross-engineering teams to triage more complex implementations. 
  * Engage at the executive level with internal and external business and engineering leaders. 
Basic Qualifications:
  * 10+ yrs Industry experience in program management, product management, business management, data analysis, or similar field, in a medium-to-large/enterprise sized organization.
  * 10+ yrs Experience designing and operating SAP mission critical systems
  * 5+ yrs cloud design, deploy and troubleshoot solutions based on hyperscale IaaS platforms
  * 5+ yrs Executive interaction and escalation management
Desired Additional Qualifications
  * OS Skills: deep technical knowledge on at least one of the following - Windows, Linux (SUSE or RHEL), UNIX.  Knowledge should include application performance analysis and debugging.  Deep level of knowledge on HA/DR technologies including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed HA/DR solutions
  * RDBMS Skills: deep knowledge including performance query analysis, sizing, HA/DR and storage/disk design of SAP HANA and at least 1-2 of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MaxDB
  * Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, OR equivalent work experience.

These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check:  This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
