Position Summary
The Executive Director FP&A supports the SVP Finance and Strategy to provide finance guidance and strategic leadership to the Brand cluster. This role is focused on enabling and driving the Financial Planning and Analysis capabilities and processes across the Brand Finance organization, including strategy development and operationalization, resource allocation optimization, performance measurement and management, budget planning and estimate accuracy, financial analysis that drives insights and recommendations, and value creation.
Responsibilities:
Global Financial Planning - Coordinate annual budget and long-range plan process across the cluster brands, partnering with Corporate Finance, inclusive of target setting, regional deployment and driving planning process improvements. Monitor monthly performance and estimates, escalating risks and proactively driving mitigation efforts across the cluster. Help drive better alignment between financial planning and demand planning.
Global Brand Strategy - Support SVP Finance and Strategy to coordinate brand strategy development, operationalization and tracking across the cluster brands. This ranges from development of market share gain ambition to resource allocation optimization to meet the strategic objectives, in partnership with Corporate Finance.
Financial Analysis - Drive development of improved financial analysis and share best practices across the cluster brands. This may include: i) performance measurement and management across KPI's; ii) growth drivers understanding and leverage across channels, categories and markets, inclusive of pricing; iii) new product launch assessment; iv) OPEX and Capital investment effectiveness; v) distribution analysis and financial attractiveness in all channels, and in particular via FSS doors; vi) cost efficiency initiatives including GVC, SKU and Door efficiency, and new product cost management; vii) leverage the COE work to identify and address value creation opportunities.
Project Management - Play an active role and lead designated workstreams in Corporate transformation projects, for example, driving end-to-end planning improvement and business acceleration initiatives. Other ad hoc projects may include activity-based cost allocation, consumer-driven analysis, pricing power maximization, cost/scale leverage and white space opportunities. Develop and track a Cluster-wide Leadership approach and get support from the COEs.
Stewardship and Financial Leadership - Provide financial leadership and management. Be seen as a key enabling business partner. Support brands with business insights and operational knowledge on ELC FP&A practices. Regularly visit the brands and key markets to keep closely in touch with local business realities. Set appropriate tone for business and organization. Fully utilize core business processes (SIOP, SMAP reporting, campaign P/(L), etc) and business systems to drive operational effectiveness, strong controls and mastery of the forecast. Support FP&A COE and BIA Initiatives.
Qualifications
MBA in Finance preferred
Minimum 10 years Financial Planning and Analysis experience including management of staff, full P&L financial responsibility, development of strategies and budgets.
Exceptional financial forecasting, analytical and problem solving skills, strategic thinking, and business advisory skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to build relationships globally.
Excellent organization, presentation and writing skills.
Demonstrated success in the leadership of multiple projects that have driven enhanced value via identification of growth initiatives and cost efficiencies.
Organization development skills.
Demonstrated track record of driving and delivering results.
Ability to work in a dynamic and matrix environment.
Domestic/International travel required 2-3 times per year.
