DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Conduct evaluation process for foreign exchange, equity, and commodity derivatives. Perform quantitative and information/data analysis including analysis of spot, forward and dividend curves, volatility cubes, comparison of inputs and outputs, and various risk measures. Implement process enhancements for FX, equity and commodity derivatives products including equity options, equity variance swaps, commodity swaps, commodity options, total return swaps, FX options and FX forwards, to respond to client demand and market conventions. Evaluate client-received trade information to define and maintain client set up files for foreign exchange, equity and commodity derivative trades. Collaborate with technology support to ensure that derivatives trades are uploaded and stored to run price calculations. Define and implement quality control procedures on both inputs and outputs from quantitative models by utilizing technical tools such as VBA or Python. Monitor market activity and financial news throughout the trading day to ensure that FX, equity and commodity market data reflect current market conditions. Interact with trading desk and various research teams to stay abreast of evolving macroeconomic environment. Coordinate internal testing of financial models/tools to enhance product coverage. Communicate with clients on all aspects of the daily pricing and challenge process. Coordinate with sales and technology support to accommodate client needs for test prices and onboarding of new product types.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Masters degree of Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered and two (2) years of experience as a Pricing Analyst, Financial Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: derivatives products, including equity options, equity variance swaps, commodity swaps, commodity options, total return swaps, FX options, and FX forwards; option pricing models, including sensitivities analysis, volatility cube and skews; analyzing and comparing analytical inputs and outputs; communicating with traders, quantitative research and external clients regarding all aspects of the evaluation process of derivatives instruments; performing research and data analysis using VBA, Python, or related analytical and programming tools in order to validate, back-test and roll new analytics into production; define and implement quality control procedures using analytical and programming tools including VBA and Python; and pricing tools including Bloomberg and Reuters.
