Job Description
Responsible for the receipt, inspection, recording and handling of safety related, safety interface and dedicated material for Cook Nuclear Plant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:

1) Audit required documentation, such as mill test reports, nondestructive test reports, performance testing, physical and chemical material certification against applicable ASTM, ASME and other national standards, DCC specifications, purchase orders, dedication plans and applicable plant procedure requirements to assure compliance of material.

2) Identify, plan and prepare the various elements needed (testing, measurements, documents, etc.) and coordinate with the applicable personnel to confirm the validity and acceptability for the material.

3) Upon request, periodically review receipt inspection packages completed by other receipt inspectors for accuracy.

4) Mark or tag all materials being released for plant use with the required information to assure traceability and material identification are maintained.

5) Inspect returned plant material and review the associated documentation to determine its acceptability for return to stock.

6) Perform or supervise visual examination, verification, inspection and reporting as required by codes, regulations, specifications and plant procedures.

7) Provide suggestions for enhancing procedures and processes used for inspection, testing and examinations which fulfill the requirements of applicable codes and standards.

Minimum Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education requirements are listed below:

* High school diploma or GED.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

Two (2) years experience as a Receipt Inspector Jr or equivalent in the Materials Inspection field

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:

* Certified in the Receipt Inspection discipline as a Level II Inspector per ANSI N45.2.6.
* Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must meet all vehicle operation requirements as designated by federal and/or state law.

Physical demand level is Heavy

Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as engineering specifications, product certifications and a wide variety of codes and standards.

May perform work in a plant environment which may include exposure to: heat, cold, noise, and radiation exposure.

May require working flexible hours/shifts.

Must have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.
