Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Equipment technician in the Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Department to troubleshoot, repair and sustain custom automation equipment. Perrform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure maximum production output.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work closely with Production and Engineering groups to monitor equipment status and performance
* Proactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques
* Document all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Assess the equipments performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrade
* Write maintenance procedures
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
* Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience (in years):
* High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 2-4 years of related work experience
* AA or Technical Trade Degree with 1-2 years of related work experience
Knowledge and skills:
* Must have excellent communication skills
* Have basic knowledge working with MS Office
* Must have an understanding of interpreting manuals and schematics and have knowledge in mechanical alignment and the troubleshooting of automated mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment
* Must have experience working with pneumatics actuators and cylinders
* Familiarity with electrical/electronic components, Automation, Robotics, Sensors, Fiber Optics and motors
* Basic usage of hand tools and the ability to use multimeters to trouble shoot equipment problems
* Previous work experience in a Manufacturing environment; ability to repair equipment timely under pressure situations
Physical requirements/abilities:
* Must be able to lift 25 lbs
* Must be able to stand for several hours
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
* 2yr Associates degree preferred
* Ultrasonic welding experience is a plus
* GMP experience a plus
