Position Summary
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
This position will pre-batch, incorporate and blend raw materials, following detailed processing instructions for the purpose of creating a batch of industrial or architectural colorant. The incumbent has responsibility for the compositional correctness of the batch to be processed.
1. Review batch ticket for processing instructions with managers review and approval.
2. Identify, select, pull and stage approved raw materials for manufacturing.
3. Select and utilize appropriate measuring device for the purpose of accurately weighing raw materials.
4. Maintain records of premixes/batches completed daily.
5. Tank cleaning and selection appropriate to batch size.
6. Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of work area as determined by management.
7. Selection and proper incorporation of raw materials based upon written instructions, while operating high-speed mixers
for the purpose of mixing/blending or hi-speeding batches.
8. Make lab adjustments to production batches. Incorporate approved samples into production batches. Maintain raw
material samples from daily premixes.
9. Follow all EH&S regulations & guidelines. Participate in SMART & other safety programs.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have access to reliable transportation
Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
Experience watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Experience blending and making a product in a batch process
Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods
