Job Summary:
Raymond James is seeking a well-rounded Product Manager with a technical aptitude to join our IT Wealth Management Reporting group. This individual will partner with both the Global Equities & Investment Banking group and our Technology group to identify and/or build products that fit best for our clients needs. Under general supervision, with a high level of autonomy, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience to provide administration and support for the business areas systems and applications. Lead projects and establishes requirements to meet the information and process needs of the organization related to the business area. Leads project teams for manage multiple large, high priority and complex initiatives with significant impact on business processes. Oversees and directs business process improvements. Performs and manages varied work that is difficult in character requiring evaluation, originality and ingenuity. Resolves or recommends solutions to complex problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads project teams for manage multiple large, high priority and complex initiatives with significant impact on business processes.
Provides input into strategic roadmaps from perspective of specific projects and applications.
Works closely with all areas of the Information Technology department from design to deployment of assigned applications.
Consults with the business area management team to identify opportunities for business process improvements and initiates process improvements, where feasible, throughout supported areas within the firm.
Generates project proposals for managerial review, implements approved proposals, documents and trains users and supports implemented processes.
Leads requirements gathering, project plan preparation, coding, user acceptance testing, documentation and implementation.
Responsible for management of third party vendors and their contributions to projects.
Develops appropriate execution approach for each project.
May serve a dual role as the point of contact for both business users and technical staff to discuss and clarify the interpretation of business requirements to technical specifications.
Coordinates/Manages the promotion of patches, fixes and upgrades to business systems via the standard testing path of Development, QA and Production.
Supports, maintains, troubleshoots complex issues and administers the primary software systems for the business area., Develops SME/expert proficiency in 1-2 business area systems to address technical requests by super users and IT.
Partners with technical business units in the research, analysis and resolution of system and process problems.
Responsible for facilitating prioritization of features and functionality and process change for a given platform or business unit.
Creates complex reporting for the business area using SSRS, Crystal and Business Objects.
Trains and mentors lower level associates and interns.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:
Concepts, practices, and principles of project management.
Application development methodologies and standards.
Concepts of risk management, issue management, change management
Basic principles of banking, finance, and securities industry operations.
Basic principles of procurement, contract and vendor management.
Investment Banking or Wealth Management is desired.
Tools: TFS or Git

Skill in:
Product Management experience is required.
Budgeting and business case preparation and analysis.
Identifying and managing project teams.
Conducting interviews with customers and subject matter experts.
Managing technology projects through their lifecycle.
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Data Analysis: understanding or skilled in SQL and/or PL-SQL.
Vendor management and project management is desirable.

Ability to:
Build strong working relationships with teams, stakeholders and senior management.
Identify and lead project teams, including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating project activities.
Facilitate information gathering sessions ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are included in the project specifications.
Incorporate needs, wants and goals from different business unit perspectives into project specifications.
Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.
Solve complex problems and model the business and financial impact of proposed scenarios.
Ensure that all project activities have a focus on quality and conform to identified best practices.
Resolve complex analytical challenges, independently analyze information; and make recommendations based on analysis.
Use collaborative skills in using a team approach to accomplishing work.
Prioritize and manage multiple work efforts in a fast-paced and dynamically changing environment.
Read, analyze, interpret and apply information from common industry journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes.
Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.
Motivate and influence others to achieve desired outcomes without organizational authority.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree with technical or business specification and 3 to 5 years experience including any combination of the following: systems administration, technical customer support, application administration, software development, project management, technical consulting, software upgrade/implementation, technical analysis, general finance or accounting.
OR ~
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
This role may require travel at a future date, however would be limited*
