Los Alamos Medical Center is a community Hospital located in the beautiful mountain community of Los Alamos, NM, surrounded by the powerful Jemez Mountains. Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
A $20,000.00 sign on bonus is currently being offered for this position for a twenty four (24) month commitment of full time employment.
LAMC is currently offering an up to $1000.00 per month rental incentive for up to six months for this nursing position for a newly hired applicant who makes the decision to move to Los Alamos and reside in the community.
Job Requirements
Requires current NM RNlicensure or appropriate compact licensure.
Requires Associate'sdegree. Bachelor's degree preferred.
OB DepartmentRegistered Nurses are required to obtain AWHONN, STABLE and ACLS, in additionto the BLS and NRP certifications required for their position. New Hires musthave current BLS upon hire, are required to obtain NRP within ninety (90) daysfrom hire, and will be required to obtain AWHONN, STABLE and ACLS within six(6) months from hire.
Newhires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American HeartAssociation certifications. Notwithstanding this grace period forobtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excusedfrom being current in any and all existing certifications that are required fortheir position as outlined in the position job description.
