Job Summary
Our team is dedicated to the development of our customer service colleagues, preparing them to deliver an outstanding customer experience on behalf of Dominion Energy.
This role is responsible for classroom and web-based training and requires knowledge and use of systematic instructional design methods such as: needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.Assists with development of training materials that meet identified training objectives and comply with established development standards. Maintain expertise as instructional technologist. Facilitate training sessions as needed.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
3+ years directly related experience (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year of experience)
Considerable related experience
Full knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent personal computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office products
Skilled with instructional design tools, multimedia development (ex: video, audio, etc) and CBT software (Captivate, Adobe, etc.)
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
Determine the appropriate blend of instructor-led, self-directed, and/or experiential training to be used in a given solution
Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across Dominion Energy and our third-party vendor to ensure alignment in training and development content/programs and business objectives;
Work with business partners and subject matter experts to identify new training and development needs;
Proven organizational skills
Project management and organizational skills
Ability to train and lead others
Ability to process information and questions quickly and develop solutions
