Purpose of the Position: This role encompasses human resource functions such as employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, organizational development, affirmative action, and health and safety services programs. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: The successful candidate will partner with the Winston HR Team and Plant Leadership team to align HR objectives and initiatives to the business strategy.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Effectively manage and execute HR processes, including Talent Planning and Development, Leadership Training Programs (must have capabilities in Employee Training), Performance Management, Performance Development Review (PDR), Annual Salary Review (ASR), Compensation Planning, Diversity, Monthly Headcount reporting, Educational Assistance Program, etc.
* Manage and execute the Winston training and development process, including leadership responsibilities of training and development department.
* Ownership and execution of Winstons culture strategy.
* Lead and facilitate change initiatives through the use of HR consultation skills. Advise and counsel managers on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development and organizational effectiveness.
* Partner with other managers to understand key business challenges and organization needs and deliver training programs to meet these needs.
* Provide strategic and tactical HR support to the Winston team.
* Manage contractor process including monthly headcount tracking, on-boarding and compliance.
* Manage New Employee Orientation (NEO) process for all new hires and contractors.
* Objectively assess and bring employee relations issues to resolution.
* Develop and Implement policies and procedures.
* Manage the staffing/hiring process.
* Lead all internal and external audit preps.
* Manage Rewards and Recognition program and track monthly spend.
* Manage Affirmative Action Plan and ensuring requirements are maintained.
* Will be involved in labor-management relations.
* May be involved in planning, implementation, administration of most or all of the following human resource functions: employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity.
Education & Experience:
* BA/BS degree w/78+ years experience
* MA/MS degree w/47+ years experience
Required Skills:
* Knowledge of human resource practices and policies as well as applicable state and federal laws.
* Hands-on self-starter, capable of juggling multiple priorities.
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, allowing for communication across entire organization.
* Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
* Ability to foster change and promote and implement improvement.
* Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet).
