Scope of Position:

The Sr. Business Insights Analyst will drive the definition, development, analysis and communication of key metrics and insights to better serve our customers, both internal and external. You will be joining an exciting, newly formed analytics center of excellence for the Corning Life Science division. Our mission is to add value to the business by driving key metrics, analyses, and insights for all areas of the business globally including, but not limited to, sales, marketing, manufacturing, customer service and operations.

A successful candidate will have a track record of fully owning analytical projects end to end starting with collecting and driving requirements through communicating insights with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, they will want to dig deep into available data sources, the business processes that generate it, as well as the tools and techniques to advance the way that Corning Life Sciences capitalizes on data.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

* Drive the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive critical business decisions
* Make recommendations for new metrics, analysis techniques, and strategies to improve business performance and better serve our customers
* Define the data elements and data structure required to enable reporting
* Contribute to operational best practices for business reporting to allow the team to scale
* Prepare and deliver analyses and insight reviews to senior leadership
* Work with IT, the data warehouse, external data partners, and self-developed databases to enable the appropriate capture, storage, data visualization and analysis of key data elements
* Enable effective decision making by identifying, retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable structure and format

Travel Requirements:

* Up to 10-25% domestic and international.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

* Standard business hours; Monday Friday.

Required Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Finance, or related discipline.

Required Years and Area of Experience:

* Minimum of 5+ years experience in data, analytics, and/or business intelligence.
* Minimum of 3+ years experience with SQL or other similar relational database query language.

Required Skills:

* Experience with data visualization and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
* Experience with scripting languages such as Python, R, etc.
* Demonstrated understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
* Experience displaying complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
* Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.

Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

* Master's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field
* Experience with data generated by SAP and/or working with SAP products.
* Experience developing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines for processing raw data.
* Experience and/or interest in data science, machine learning, or predictive analytics

Soft Skills:

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally with IT, data subject matter experts, Data Engineers and other Analysts to mine the right data sources efficiently and accurately.
* Excellent organizational skills including prioritization of multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results.
* Ability to break down complex problems into smaller deliverables that add value.
