Position Summary:

Responsible for the work of the Utilities department within the Regional Accounting Service Center and for delivery of accurate, timely and efficient accounting services to the retail divisions. Essential Job Functions:

Balance selected general ledger accounts and provide appropriate detail each period

Communicate with controllers, other division personnel, stores, customers/vendors & other departments regarding utilities

Follow up with request from division contacts, keeping them informed of any large or unexpected entries that would affect their accounts

Analyze reports to for accuracy of accruals and alert division contacts of any possible issues

* Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and 10 key
* Prepare/complete Journal Entries
* Research and process rejects daily in Vendor Payment System
* Research inquiries from vendors and division staff as needed
* Ability to coordinate and produce results through others in a manner that exemplifies our core values
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Demonstrated sound business judgment and the ability to work successfully with all levels of associates, backgrounds, and perspectives
* Actively identify new areas for learning; regularly create and take advantage of learning opportunities; using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job and learning through their application
* Ability to take prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive and following up to ensure completion.
