Position Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of receiving, selection and loading of product and maintaining productivity level. Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
* Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
* Monitor and control expense.
* Organize, plan and supervise the shift work for the selection of orders, receiving and shipping.
* Adhere to company guidelines for safety and sanitation.
* Monitor production rates and take corrective action as necessary.
* Manage the proper use of equipment on the various shifts.
* Assist in training of new employees, both in production and safety.
* Control quality of product selection and loading of freight so that all customer orders are selected accurately in a timely manner.
* Monitor adherence of all assigned personnel to procedures, rules, and policies outlined by management and union contract.
* Monitor and meet all order accuracy requirements and expectations.
* Perform other duties as required.
* Maintain flexibility to work any shift to meet the needs of the department.
* Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education Requirements:
* 2 years of experience managing and supervising large teams in a warehouse environment
* Knowledge of maintenance, safety, sanitation, and transportation practices
* Knowledge of dry and perishable grocery warehousing
Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Desired
