Supports more complex technologies and API integrations with vendors including Microsoft, AWS, and Google. May specialize in one vendor or more, working to understand business needs and translating those into detailed requirements for development execution. Must be available to travel in the field to meet with vendors and resellers either directly or at industry events, understand to speak and present on topics related to our platform and technology innovations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:
* Provide technical solutions expertise working with documented API sets to intersect vendor capabilities with platform capabilities.
* Develop complete solutions to meet the requirements/specifications of the business.
* Maintain new and current technical expertise across many technologies, such as data center, virtualization, security, mobility, unified communication, and cloud solutions
* Provide internal and external technical presentations and training
* Act as a visionary, recommending new innovations which provide value and stickiness to Tech Data's platform and its customers
* Work with sales and marketing stakeholders across the globe to understand business needs and drivers to help drive opportunities and market expansion
* Assist in determining developmental needs of other technical resources and provide training and/or mentoring as required
* Performs additional duties as assigned
