Description:
The Instructional Systems Designer/Developer (ID) plans, analyzes, designs, develops, implements and evaluates training and courseware to support customer and internal training program requirements. Identifies operations or procedures through analysis within the organization requiring training to optimize performance. Partners with a broad range of technical personnel and must understand technical requirements, standards, specifications, etc. The ID may be involved in any or all parts of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and/or Evaluate (ADDIE) process. Strategically designs and develops the informational content in the required form for training products to facilitate learning.

The selected candidate will be an Instructional Systems Design subject matter expert/lead and courseware content developer with the ALIS Training team. The selected candidate:

Will adhere to approved style guides and the JSF ISD Plan that documents training policy and standards
Will be involved in all parts of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) process for a variety of training projects and training scenarios to ensure the effective development of sound courseware content to meet the customers needs
Will apply instructional design best practices for institutional training, training materials, and sustainment training
Must be a proven self-starter with an ability to interact effectively with military, industry, and academic partners
Must be capable of multi-tasking, working within deadlines, and smoothly transition between various projects
Must have excellent communication skills as well as, the ability to work with Programmers, Graphic Artists, and Subject Matter Experts
Must be capable of providing accurate task completion estimates
Must be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

Experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and best practices to design, develop, implement a multitude of training products:

Experience applying adult learning theory, training principles, and techniques to training development
Experience applying ADDIE process to training projects to ensure development of sound products to meet customer requirements and needs
Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously to meet assigned deadlines
Experience applying writing, editing, and proofreading skills to training development
Experience using Learning Content Management System (LCMS) as a developer as well as, other tools for development and distribution of training/courseware
Experience using SharePoint
Experience with Multi-Media Design Architecture and eLearning standards including Interactivity Level 2 & 3, SCORM, and Web environments
Strong interpersonal and teaming skills

Experience developing Procedural Job Aids using Adobe Captivate
Experience developing training for military (domestic and international) customers
