We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support a new Hypersonics weapons program. In this role you typically will:
Develop Simulations and Models to accurately predict the behavior of the system
Integrate lower level (e.g. subsystem) models and results into the system model to allow for a comprehensive and integrated perspective of system performance
Utilize Simulations, Models, and Performance Budgets to conduct trades and allocate requirements across the program technical domains to arrive at an optimized solution
Utilize M&S to assess weapon system timelines, flight performance, survivability, and lethality.
Use your excellent interpersonal skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of system performance and trades.

To be successful, you will typically have 5-9 years of professional experience with a degree.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in either Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields including mathematics degree with a physics-based focus from an accredited college/university
Experience using MATLAB to learn and/or develop sophisticated math models and algorithms
Experience leading technical tasks to include coordination of analytic efforts and out-briefing results to senior leadership
Solid understanding of LINUX and Windows Operating Systems
Experience with C/C++ programming
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience in verification of requirements, DOORS tool
Proven ability to define and detail solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both leadership and internal/external teams
Proven basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
