As a Home Lending Assistant, you will support one or more Mortgage Bankers and serve as a contact point for customers to resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments that directly impact the ability to do business with Chase Mortgage Banking. In this role, you will be responsible for the following functions: facilitate application process by interfacing with customer in taking complete applications; requesting documentation from borrowers; discussing products and pricing at the request of, or in the absence of, the Mortgage Banker; take all initial inquiry calls for pre-qualifications and review data with Mortgage Banker; act as liaison between Mortgage Banker, branch and processing center (if applicable) and coordinate submissions and closings; act as the primary liaison with group of established realtors (20-30) to allow Mortgage Banker to concentrate on generating new business; review complex files; identify potential problems with loan applications and arrive at workable solutions prior to submission to processing; manage pipeline, including updating Mortgage Banker on pipeline status and updating borrowers and builders on status of loan; watch for and prevent pipeline fallout and quote rate to pipeline floats; coordinate and manage marketing to buyers, sellers, realtors and builders; assist in staffing Realtor/builder open houses and trade shows; establish with Mortgage Banker annual number of loans required to fund and close and/or incremental increase in Mortgage Banker(s)'s annual production; and, if applicable, support Mortgage Banker(s) to achieve high usage of laptop originations. You will provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators.
