Job Description
CDM Smith is seeking to enhance our team to primarily support FEMAs Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program (HMTAP) with the potential to support FEMAs Public Assistance Program (PA), and other related contracts with the U.S. This opportunity is slated for an emerging professional ready to take on increasing responsibilities under the mentorship of more senior staff. Projects include providing technical assistance to FEMA grant programs, policy and guidance development support, and environmental compliance activities with both FEMA Headquarters and the Regions. Projects are located throughout the U.S. and its territories.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing technical and programmatic support to multiple FEMA programs nationwide.
- Supporting Project Managers in the execution of projects to successfully meet required scope, schedule and budget.
- Leading discrete task within projects
- Providing direct support to clients and program stakeholders.
- Serving as a technical and programmatic resource for other staff in the development of quality deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program, RiskMAP and/or Building Science experience.
- Knowledge of FEMAs Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) Tool.
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated Leadership abilities.
