Reporting to the Senior VP of Global Planning within Cardinal Healths Medical Segment, The VP of Global Planning is responsible for Leading the Global Planning Organization to World Class Levels of Performance. In this role, the leader is responsible for Global S&OP, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, US Deployment, as well as supporting Planning for Transformation programs. This key role ensures all internal stakeholders within the organization are aligned to meet the Medical Segments objectives.
The VP of Global Planning will leverage their Global End-To-End Supply Chain experience to significantly upgrade and optimize the Organization, Processes, and technology, to drive world class performance.
* Lead the Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Center of Excellence. Drive continuous improvement to further align the organization. Improve the Gartner Maturity Level of the Global process to a level in 24 months.
* Lead the Global Demand Planning Center of Excellence with Direct responsibility for US, and oversight across all OUS regions. Continuously improve processes to improve Global Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias Results.
* Develop and Execute Global Supply Plans for Cardinal Healths 30+ Manufacturing plants & 400 Finished Good Suppliers. Monitor performance against Net Requirements and ensure Plants produce the correct mix of SKUs
* Lead the Global Inventory Center of Excellence. Define and execute upon a Global Inventory Strategy which mitigates E&O and set the optimized level of inventory required to ensure Customer Service levels are met.
* Develop and Maintain a Highly Talented Organization. Develop associates through education and training. Ensure Individual Development Plans are created and executed upon. Identify succession plans in each key role.
* Continuously Improve Global Plannings Employee Engagement. Identify areas for improvement and create action plans. Ensure transparency with the team by reporting on areas for improvement and actions.
* Identify and Execute upon Diversity & Inclusion plans in order to drive Performance across the Organization. Purposely drive hiring and employee development to improve Diversity & Inclusion objectives.
* Create a Highly Motivated Environment and assist teams through transformation change. Ensure the organization is structured to support and execute upon transformations within the business.

* Meet and Exceed Global Planning Budgets. Identify and drive cost reductions through optimization projects.
* Standardize Planning Processes Across the Organization. Leverage technology to drive optimization and efficiency. Evaluate current processes, identify Best Practices and cross deploy throughout the organization.
* Identify, Resolve, and Track Global Capacity Constraints. This includes all key resources which risk meeting objectives, including constraints within Global sterilization, Manufacturing, and Distribution
* Lead the US Deployment of inventory across the Distribution Network.
Qualifications
* 10+ Years at the Sr. Director and/or VP Level (combined) responsible for Global Supply Planning within a Global Products Organization.
* 3-5 years Global Planning (not Sourcing) both Internal and External Mfg plants
* Demonstrated experience in development and execution of Supply Chain transformation strategies
* Strong Background in Planning Systems; SAP/IBP, Kinaxis a plus
* Extensive knowledge of, and Leadership of the Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP)
* Experience Leading Global Demand Planning Organizations
* Demonstrated experience in building high performance Global Planning Teams
* Strong leadership qualities including interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills
* Previous experience working as a Supply Planner, leading Distribution, or Manufacturing a plus
