Primary Responsibilities:
The management of the programme of work assigned to the role within the Business Management team.
The main focus of the BM team is on ensuring compliance with global policies in the following areas:

* Governance/ Regulatory Oversight

* Business Continuity / Resiliency

* Business Support/ Projects/ Change Management
BM is currently responsible for all AS business locations, including Ireland, Luxembourg, Poland, Germany, the UK, India and multiple locations across the US. These locations may be amended in line with organisational changes.
Specifically the job-holder will be required to input into and in many cases manage the following tasks and projects:

* Contribute to the strategic direction, and where necessary deputise, for the Manager of the team.
t
* Perform the role of lead regional Business Recovery Coordinator (BRC) for Accounting Services, as ascribed under policy.
t
* Liaise with and represent the business in dealings with Share Services Technology, HR, Finance, Risk, Control, and Audit etc.
t
* Where required, to support the BM team in the coordination of the delivery of the Information Risk Management and Record Management work programme within Accounting Services.
t
* Mandatory training monitoring.
t
* Development and roll out of policies, training materials and procedures as required.
t
* Support the facilitation and coordination of the Policies and Procedure Forum (PPF).
t
* Provide support to the head of Business Management Accounting Services.
t
* Work with the Business and the Ops BM Centre of Excellence to manage headcount and to ensure in line with Plan
t
* Manage the collation of weekly and monthly MIS leveraging and aggregating data from internal systems and external parties. Manage the collation of Metrics and liaise with the Centre of Excellence.
t
* Tracking of tasks assigned to the operational teams to ensure delivered in a timely manner in line with expectations and policy.
t
* Ad hoc projects and tasks which are allocated by the head of business management and Accounting Services. May serve as a project lead, enlisting support from more junior staff or peers.

* Development of automated solutions to realise efficiencies in the areas of responsibilities set out above.

* Conduct regular One-to-One meetings with BM and AS management, providing updates on relevant developments and updates on salient issues.
Management Information Deliverables

* Conducts analyses and reporting in support of general business operations, special projects/initiatives and/or strategic/operational planning activities.
t
* Develop a clear understanding of and promote awareness within the BM team of all internal and client deliverables, and service expectations.
t
* Ensure any new business requirements and changes to the Business are reflected accurately and correctly in MIS production.
t
* Develop automated solutions for the creation of MIS for internal and external distribution to reduce manual input errors.
t
* Where required arrange meetings with other departments across Accounting Services to discuss MIS creation issues and service levels. Ensure minutes are kept documenting decisions and tracking action points.
Technical Skills

* Sound technical understanding of Accounting function & products as they relate to the production of NAV & related figures, dealing, distribution & reporting.
t
* Knowledge of implementing processes & systems, documentation & articulating business requirements, and managing change & risk within an operations environment.
t
* The ability to project / programme manage with a focus on cross-discipline process, technology and service solutions.
t
* Understanding of Information Systems, data gathering, analysis, visualization and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate findings and propose improvements based on these analyses.

* Advanced proficiency in using MS Office and other relevant business systems.

* Strong dashboard management.

* Leverage new technologies to tighten, improve and make more efficient BM controls, and streamline existing processes.

Qualifications
t
* Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
t
* Demonstrated experience and track record of management and delivery of programmes of work covering multiple disciplines across multiple business functions. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.

* Relevant experience in the investment funds industry and / or a degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on team and programme management.
