The Global Business Unit Finance Manager is the key finance partner to the business leaders within the Cloud Services Business Unit. As an integral member of the finance and business leadership teams, this positions overarching responsibilities are to provide financial information and analysis that is relevant, trusted, and insightful, which enables the executive leadership teams to make effective decisions that improve the Companys performance.
Key Attributes
This position requires the ability to form strong working partnerships with senior business leaders to tackle complex business challenges. You will also own key financial processes that will have high impacts across the dynamic and fast-growing Cloud Services Organization. This is a high visibility role, which attracts consistent VMware executive attention.
* Trusted finance business partner to the Engineering, Operations, Product Marketing, Product Management senior leadership teams.
* Thought leader driving analytical and strategic frameworks and modeling to support long-term planning, and KPIs for enhanced business monitoring & future growth visibility
* Financial owner for pricing & packaging modeling and competitive analysis in collaboration with product marketing team
* Problem solving attitude to improve topline and public cloud market insights/analytics.
* Strong communicator, collaborating on business performance reviews with business leaders to create effective strategies and operating plans, with focus on execution. Strength in succinctly explaining business impact to VMware Senior Executives and influencing across cross-functional teams.
* Active VMware Finance community participant. Leading and engaging in GBU Finance wide initiatives to drive process improvement to scale for growth and create positive impacts.

Requirements

* BA or BS in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred
* 5 - 8+ years of experience in finance/accounting with a strong record of career progression
* Experience working in an enterprise software, SaaS, or other hi-tech company
* Demonstrated results providing finance business partnering to R&D;/Product Management executives
* Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, and Oracle Financials reports
