Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principle Project Manager. This position will be located at our Aerospace Systems Sector in San Diego, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of the Northrop Grumman rsquo;s Global Logistics amp; Modernization organization. The selected candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
- Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, functional managers, and clients.
- Plan and manage appropriate staffing levels based on current and future contracts
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Have completed BS degree and and a minimum of 6 years of related Project Management, Logistics and or another relevant area of experience
* Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
* Experience or coursework that includes Earned Value Management and CAM
* MS Project
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership amp; teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
* Familiarity or coursework that includes Reliability, Maintainability, and Supportability focuses
