Havasu Regional Medical Center

The Performance Improvement Coordinator identifies, plans, and executes improvement projects throughout Havasu Regional Medical Center, delivers successful results and spreads changes across the entire system. The PI Specialist has advanced knowledge, and skills in the art and science of improvement, with expert knowledge of Lean healthcare strategies, plus the ability to work with and coach front-line teams in achieving and maintaining successful changes.

Reports to: Director of Quality

FLSA: Exempt

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Bachelors Degree in business, technology, or healthcare related field required
Masters Degree - MPA, MPH, MBA, or related degree preferred
Minimum of two years of data management, analysis, and reporting in a healthcare setting.

Required Skills
Experience in performance improvement.

Experience working with teams or advisory work with managers

Five years of experience in Health Care performance improvement processes and tools preferred

Demonstrated success in at least one complicated and multifaceted PI initiative that included spread and sustainability elements

Lean Healthcare Management Certification Preferred. Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification preferred

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) within 1 year of employment.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of PI concepts and foundations of Lean, including data collection, statistical analysis, and intensive implementation events.

Critical thinking and analysis skills with knowledge of patient care and public health, in order to analyze current workflows and determine where there is a need for performance improvement.

Exhibit effective communication skills, especially written and verbal.

Knowledge of various computer programs, including Microsoft Office products.

Solid skills in gathering and analyzing patient data.

Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, self-starting, and able to achieve goals by working with others.

Strong interpersonal skills.

An optimistic and professional attitude.

Ability to be creative and think outside the box.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
